The 5th/6th class went on a visit to Holy Island in Lough Derg to compliment the work they had completed in the local History strand of the SESE Curriculum.

Many thanks to the parents who volunteered to take the children to Knockaphort Pier and the two parents who supervised on the day. Ger Madden took the children by boat onto the island and gave them a tour of all the significant Early Christian structures on the Island. We are very proud to have such an amazing Early Christian Site as part of our local heritage.
