As Biodiversity is the theme for our Green School Flag this year, the children learned about our native trees, seed dispersal, tree identification and the importance of trees.  The themes were linked to the SESE and SPHE curriculum.

November

Have a look at one of the art activities we have enjoyed this month.  We really enjoyed making our own characters. Next, we looked at the season of Winter and we made Winter collages and snowmen. We are getting very excited for Christmas!

Aquarium Comes to School

As part of our Green School’s Programme, we were delighted to welcome some new friends to our school. In conjunction with The Salthill Aquarium we have been lucky to get an opportunity to host an aquarium. There are seven marine fish including a Gobi, Flatfish, Butterfish, Starfish, Hermit crab, Prawn and an Anemone.  They will be with us until the 10th of December. We are  monitoring stock on a daily basis, checking tank temperature and feeding the fish.DSCF3780
